I’ve been saying it for years
ABC:
Exclusive: FBI: Al Qaeda May Strike U.S. Shopping Malls in LA, Chicago
The FBI is warning that al Qaeda may be preparing a series of holiday attacks on U.S. shopping malls in Los Angeles and Chicago, according to an intelligence report distributed to law enforcement authorities across the country this morning.
The alert said al Qaeda “hoped to disrupt the U.S. economy and has been planning the attack for the past two years.”
I’m surprised it’s not happened yet. Also, it could be misinformation given to the feds.
LA and Chicago? Well, slim chance of meeting armed resistance there.

Well, there are the gangs. They might get a little miffed that someone is operating on their territory.

Surprised MA isn’t on that list.
I will act as though it were, however…

Sounds like a good time to issue directive 51. Under the premise that protecting your family far outweighs any political process such as the constitution. Anyone know how much gun grabbing force directive 51 gives the fed once declared?

Or, it could be misinformation given by the feds.

Do we still have an economy to disrupt?

“LA and Chicago? Well, slim chance of meeting armed resistance there.”
Coincidence?
I think not.
I’d like to see any jihadists try to take out the Knoxville Mall… The gunbloggers alone would wipe the floor with ’em.

If they attack LA and Chicago, they probably won’t kill any American citizens anyway.

I wonder why the threats to our Office Supply stores don’t get more press?

“LA and Chicago? Well, slim chance of meeting armed resistance there.”
I’m sure that would include the cops. They’ll just take cover outside and wait ’till it’s over before going in. “We’re securing the area”. Uh huh…

Of course, all this said, how many “confirmed reports” of terrorist/Al Qaeda attacks have we had since 9/11? I mean, sure, it could be that our crack anti-terrorist forces have cut them off at the pass every single time, but some kind of follow-up report indicating that might have been nice…

CCourse this could also be the FBI’s latest budget enhancement attempt!

Welcome to our Islamic brothers. This mall is a gun-free zone. No danger to terrorists here. Come one come all this will be the easiest pickings you’ve ever had. No resistance from the sheep, and an air-conditioned shooting gallery just for you. Enjoy the decorations and holiday tree (not a religious symbol-per the ACLU)!
This is what we have to look forward to?????

You notice how they never attack Montana? That’s because Montanans would shoot them in the face and go back to ordering their chilidogs at Dairy Queen. :p

Ah, it must be Christmas. The warnings about mall attacks start earlier each year. But attempting to disrupt the economy is a bit late. The NY times had this lead on an article today “Consumers have rendered a verdict on the coming holiday season: grim.”

Now how do you release a follow up report on something that didnt happen? If our “crack anti-terrorist forces” (laughs) had caught any “terrorists” they would’ve been crowing about it for a month of Sundays.

Bah. Sarcasm transmits really poorly over bytes…

I’m sure the “No Weapons” signs will turn them back. Probably time to beef up and recheck your signage though, make sure it’s terrorist level compliant and posted in farsi.
Seriously- ten Malvo and Muhammed car teams would shut the country down and the police would skip the bureacrats and suspend the Bill of Rights and Constitution themselves. I can’t believe it hasn’t happened.

As long as Al Qaeda doesn’t infiltrate Fed Ex and UPS I will be safe. The grocery store is a different matter. Mail order doesn’t work for food.
