Two blog memes that don’t go together
We’re the only ones, err, chicks and guns. Oh, forget it. At least she doesn’t have her booger hook on the bang switch.

Heh. My Jersey chat board is lit up with this as you know. Seems those Hoboken cops are out of a job and most riki-tik. The women could be in trouble too if the incident took place in Jersey as they had constructive possession of a banned weapon. That’s a felony here.

If you go to the news report (linked at Balko’s site) the cops said it happened in Alabama, “where you are allowed to display guns in public.” Which as a citizen and resident of Alabama is f*&%ing news to me.

If it were just pictures of them going to hooters and living it up, I would have no problem. SWAT officers ought to maintain professionalism when it comes to handling firearms. As for the girls, it looks like everyone there is having a good time, but bringing the weapons out crosses the line, IMHO. I will blog more about this later.

The MSNBC report that I saw this afternoon said that this moron claims that the photographs were taken for a calendar.
You had to hear me laugh right out loud.

So it’s a calendar. Does that make it legal?
I’m just glad there are two sets of laws so that the people who are guarding the Constitution and Keeping America Free don’t get all bogged down in the justice system.

The head of Hoboken SWAT* is reputed white supremacist who knocks back 6 figures for that job. He’s already in deep shit for forcing Latino cops to work on his house for free or suffer the consequences at work. Jersey cops don’t get paid well to start but it is better than NYPD and a much easier job, especially in Hoboken.*
*Hoboken is, well imagine, like a giant fraternity party where ever guy has a Wall Street salary and every gal is looking to hook up with that guy. It is THE destination for college kids in Jersey for bar hopping with party trains that run to Rutgers, Montclair, Drew, etc.

If you are an LEO can you drink AND loan out machine guns to cute girls to brandish?
This IS a great country! I KNEW it!
Sarcasm aside, I’m sure these officers did a GREAT job helping the poor folks in Louisiana get through the aftermath of Katrina.

And for some college students, you don’t have to leave campus to get in on the party 🙂
(Incidentally, while I was up at Stevens, I saw the Hoboken SWAT using the Steven’s buildings for training at least twice).
