In which I clarify for my liberal friends about rights
The phrase individual rights is rather redundant. Only individuals have rights. No group, be they a corporation or activist group, has any more or less rights than any individual in that group.
As you were.

I’m sorry. I disagree with the implication that a nation, society, community, or any other group, is not greater than the sum of its parts. Humans are small in space and in time. They make themselves greater by joining together and forming an entity which will outlive them. That entity contains their collective rights as much as it contains their collective existence and future. And it will survive and propagate itself even though some or many of its members will not. It has a collective existence and collective rights which take no regard of any or many individuals.
