Yet, we won’t vote the bums out
Deb says we hate our government:
Congress’ Approval Rating at 20%; Bush’s Approval at 32% Both the legislative and executive branches of government are very unpopular. They didn’t ask about the courts.

With regard to Congresses approval rating, its usually a case where people like their Congress-critter, but don’t like Congress as a whole.

What boggles me is why do people keep re-electing worthless culls like Kucinich, Obama, Clinton, Boxer, Feinstein, Kennedy, Kerry, Murtha, etc? (Now THERE’S a criminal lineup if I ever saw one!) I’ve talked to several people from Massachusetts and they cant stand Kennedy and Kerry yet could’nt explain why those culls keep getting re-elected.

While congress as a whole has an approval rating of 23%, the approval rating for ‘your congressman specifically’ is something like 58%.
So we don’t hate our government; it’s more that we hate each other.

Voting the bums out requires having non-bums to vote in.
To get in, you must 1) having begging skills that would make a televangelist blush and 2) pledge loyalty to one of two parties defined primarily by not being the other party. We have a system that pretty much guarantees an endless supply of vacuous bums.
