The new law makes all uses of ammonium nitrate, except for explosives, regulated by DHS. The ATF regulates the explosive use. With two government agencies involved it makes things more “interesting”.

Again the morons in congress make the farmers life harder while not understanding the problem. Making a AN bomb is not easy, it’s a 2nd order explosive requiring a blasting cap. Make getting the primary explosive harder to get, not making a high quality fertilizer impossible to get. Even now, its almost imposable to get AN for my fields. I have to buy a more expensive, lower quality (less plant food per ton) replacement that evaporates if its spread at temps higher than 80 deg F. My costs went from $200 a ton to $435 a ton last year, what will this do to my price, and what I have to charge for my livestock and hay?
