She shows the gun in its holster, so how the heck does she get it out of it’s holster (quickly and with minimal fuss) to use it?
The purses I’ve seen at gun shows usually have a hidden pocket, whether zippered or velcro, that has it’s own velcro holster–very quick and easy to pull the gun out for use when necessary.
I have it in a holster because I have three little boys and crackers crumbs get everywhere. It’s to keep the gun clean. Adn I have it arranged in the pocket so it slides easily out of the holster when I need to grab it.
Keeping my gun concealed allows the sheep to walk around in their normal daze hoping that greatness of numbers will save them from the wolves. The funny thing is that criminals never carry openly so really there is no reason to fear my gun when I open carry it in a holster. The person they should actually fear is the criminal who is looking for his or her next easy victim . . .
John, Sarah has good taste and fanny packs are butt-ugly. Except while hiking or during other such outdoor pursuits, no one has any business wearing one.

And keep in mind that velcro is very noisy. Kind of defeats the whole element of surprise aspect.

Thanks for giving me that link…some good info, plus I love chicks with guns!
My wife loved the purses.

Sarah–thanks for answering me.
I agree about the velcro, which is why I’ve never bought one of those bags, although I hope someone comes up with something better one of these days.

As others said in the original post, the big problem with off-the-body carry is it’s easy to get separated from your sidearm.
I suppose there’s a camouflage problem with having a fannypack and a purse at the same time – one or the other is plausible, but both simultaneously?

I always thought that those leather fanny-packs looked like a creepy example of “San Francisco” or Village People men’s unmentionables…
