Dumbball
Chris Matthews seems to buy into densely populated area exception to the second amendment:
I want people disarmed in our major, major cities. How’s that for a plan? I don’t think we should all be armed, and I don’t think more guns is the answer. I think it’s wacky to say that the solution to armed robbery and killing in our streets in big cities is to put more arms in the streets.
He’s also cool with a police state:
You know what I think? In big cities they ought to check people on sidewalks like they do getting on airplanes.

Hmm, densely populated urban areas.
Is he saying black folks shouldn’t have guns?
January 28th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Shhh. We can’t say it like that.
January 28th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Even dumber than Keith Olberman.

“He’s also cool with a police state:”
Of course he is, because he expects to get the “I’m famous” exemption.

He’s an idiot. Despite data that shows violent crime goes down when concealed carry permits increase, he wants everyone disarmed. The acquiesence to police state tactics is only because he knows violent crime goes up when honest citizens are disarmed.

Matthews is the consummate metrosexual girly-man.
He rode rough-shod over Michelle Malkin, and Zell Miller gave him a serious pimp-slapping for doing so.
The good thing about Matthews, though, is that no one really hears them, if his historical ratings are accurate.
NBC keeps waiting for him to emerge as a hot property, and they trot him out on the Today Show from time to time, but his evening show is mostly viewed by close friends and family.

His chains must rest lightly indeed, and I have already forgotten he was my countryman.

I’m coming perilously close to violating Godwin’s Law on this one…
January 28th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Many times, I think the problem with people like this is that they have these Great Ideas(!) but never bother to think them through to their logical conclusions.
January 28th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
That’s because they wouldn’t have any idea of how to go about thinking something through logically. They’d probably get lost along the way and have to ask for directions.

I don’t believe in Godwin’s law … Chris Mathews really is a little Nazi-wannabe.
January 28th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
Chris Mathews said that today in the greater….oh look! a fly! ( laughs at his own attention span) HEY! these are tough questions, Geraldo said so!
January 28th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
What is Godwin’s law?

“I think it’s wacky to say that the solution to armed robbery and killing in our streets in big cities is to put more arms in the streets.”
Markie Marxist sez: “I coudn’t agree more! Our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminals need a safe work environment to destroy capitalism and bring America to it’s knees! If there are more guns, there’ll be less crime! That’s no way to advance Communism! It’s wacky!”

As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one

I guess the fact a little thing called the Bill of Rights prevents random searches and (so far anyway) prevents arbitrary seizure of personal property (except in New Orleans) does not matter to him.
January 29th, 2008 at 12:57 am
Godwin’s Law was instituted to prevent one of history’s most appropriate comparisons from being made against people who had no answer for it when the parallels were drawn between their viewpoint and those actions committed by the Nazis.
straightarrow’s corrollary.

Does anybody like Chris Matthews?

Matthews is a borderline sex offender. It’ll be much easier for him to leer and ogle hot chicks if he can be sure their unarmed.
