It’s a . . . well, whatever you call a Trifecta plus one
A quadfecta? Anyway, now some Brits are upset that Captain America has a gun.
It’s all England all the time!
Update: from metulj in comments, it’s apparently called a superfecta.

Well, it’s a little odd to revamp the character like that. Generally, whenever they try to make things darker and edgier with comic books, it doesn’t end up working well. He didn’t have a problem running around with a machine gun during the forties, but it’s been a good twenty-odd years since they last had him kill someone.
Surprised these idiots aren’t pulling their hair out about the Punisher, Fantomex, or the dozens of other Hero or antihero characters with firearms, though. The concept dates at least back to the 1930s with The Shadow, back before Superman even appeared. Hell, it’s popular enough that there are characters like Deadpool around just to parody the concept.

Maybe if Batman carried a gun and shot Joker in the freakin’ head, Joker would stop troubling him.
Also, it’s not like it’s Captain Britain carrying a gun, so I don’t see why they care. After the last Captain America got shot in the head, I can see why the new guy would want to be able to shoot back. Makes sense to me.

Superfecta. Four horses in order 1 through 4. A rare bet. You usually see it at dog tracks.

Not all that surprising. There have only been one or two generations of British that have been extremely happy to see Americans with guns, prior to that armed Americans gave them fits.

“Fans are clearly split as to whether a handgun can ever be tolerated on a superhero long regarded as a symbol of untainted righteousness.”
I wonder if the writer even noticed that he called everyone who has ever carried a gun ‘tainted’ and ‘unrighteous’?

The original Batman used to carry guns, but they were removed for some reason.
And the cartoon version of Batman was pretty much a hoplophobe.

Good for Marvel Comics for including an action hero with a handgun.
As for England, send in the clowns.

I thought Cap. America died.

He got better.

Nah, they just sent in a new guy with the old one’s costume. It’ll be a few months more before he goes nuts, and then the old one gets better.

I hope we don’t get another US Agent.

Maybe we should create a Leftenent Britannia that carries around a billy club and shouts “Stop, or I’ll yell stop again!”

Put him in stars and bars, and give him a 12 gauge.
Heh.

Don’t forget the funny whistle the bobbies like to blow when the shit hits the fan.
