Hmmm. With my Marlin Camp 45 in perfect trim, I have to hold over (it’s sighted for 25 yards) almost 3 feet to get on the paper at 120 yards. To get a head-shot kill at 300, I would have to have MOA accuracy, AND hold over about 10 feet at least (I won’t try it so I haven’t looked up the ballistics) As for his 5.56 M1911, I’d like to see that action. If it exists, it’s a single shot pistol, and no pistol with a 7.5″ bbl is going to be 1 MOA at 300 yards, no matter the caliber.
