Quote of the day
David Hardy on Brady Campaign Rankings:
The Rapid City Journal, for instance, runs the story S.D. GETS LOW MARKS FOR GUN RESTRICTIONS. Yup, a dismal F, 6 points out of 100 possible.
Strange that in 2006, the State, whose population is 150% that of the District of Columbia, had a whole 9 homicides. Homicide rate of 1.2, about 25% the national rate.

“The Campaign hopes the scorecard reveals weaknesses in gun restrictions and motivates legislators and residents to make improvements, he said”
The “improvements” should be to remove the rest of the restrictions.

South Dakota was appalled at that rating and is working hard to correct it.
The Governor is looking forward to signing the bill ensuring legal gun owners the right to keep their guns on college campus’.
(Yes, I’m originally from South Dakota. Spent some time in Arizona as well)

I think it was Wayne Lapierre who said that when the Brady Bunch issues the grades, A stands for “anti-gun” and F stands for “freedom.”
