The Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing Gets Naked
Ray Schoenke, of the American Hunters and Shooters Association, has decided to abandon all pretense of actually being a pro-gun group. Seems to be screaming that they want to be relevant. I’d address the screed but Sebastian already has: Wait, am I reading something by AHSA or the Brady Campaign? Hard to tell.

The real clincher is that they blast NRA for opposing the armor piercing ammunition bill in the 80s. You know the one Ted Kennedy wanted that would have banned all hunting ammo? Yeah, real dedicated pro-hunting group there.

IIRC, that was the legislation that kept the KTW(“Cop Killer”)bullet out of the hands of the citizenry. As originally written, the legislation would have outlawed all lubricated bullets(i.e. almost all ammunition). Then the NRA got involved, helped re-write the legislation so that it encompassed only teflon coated brass projectiles. I also remember Alf D’Amato(D-NY, bills sponsor)praising the NRA for helping write legislation that kept LEO’s safe, while at the same time preserving the rights of firearm owners. Wonder why they can’t remember that?

They are posting a editorial in the Huffington Post and trying to demonize the NRA and appeal to the regular anti gun readers of that abomination.
What other evidence does anyone need to see?
Their motives are made clearer by the day, and we don’t even need to help them.

They could benefit from lessons on camouflage from a certain unnmamed “pro-gun” association.
