I’m suddenly happy that the Michigan Secretary of State (handles all vehicle licensing and vehicle-operator permits) has one of those “Take a number” systems.
So that my name isn’t called out loud to bring me to the counter.

hmmm kinda odd, my local DMV told me that part of the compliance with the real ID act was that they were now legally required to get proof of birth certificate, or a photo ID, and a social security card… how does one just walk up and claim that they are someone else…. sounds like the dmv isnt asking for the proper ID
