That’s illegal?

If you go around asking people who is the most powerful person in America, you will hear any variation of nonsense, usually starting with the President. Almost no one ever understands that it’s the cop on the street, who can wrench your life straight into the maw of the machine on a whim. And because he exists to serve that machine, it also serves him. Not you.

I would like to know the names of the cops.
It’s always good to jack people around when they’re doing something threatening, like taking a picture of a retail business.
Idiots.

Not only that, it’d be nice to know the name and address of the business who’s owner/manager called the cops.

That business needs to be photographed every day and the police called and videoed, until the police and the owner understand the law.

Sorry; I didn’t set out to cause a problem, nor do I intend to cause this business grief because they freaked out. Some people are paranoid, and given the heritage of these folks, I can maybe understand their anxiety. Maybe it’s something as minor as the one lady is going through a divorce, and being afraid the husband is digging up dirt, etc. The thing is, I could have just said, “I thought that sign on your wall was hilarious, so I took a photo of it,” but after being followed into the restaurant and further pressed to delete the photos, I just told her to call the cops.

“The customer has the right not to have drills used on their nails.”
Whew, that’s a relief. D’you reckon waterboarding, squassation, the rack, and the strappado are permitted?
It being a Nail Salon, I reckon thumbscrews are right out.

It is always wise to stay calm with a cop.Take it up with the department later, with a lawyers help.At least where I live (in california) the police are held to much lower standard than ordinary citizens when using force, including lethal force.A few years ago a BART cop shot an unarmed smartass kid in the back of the head, and walked. The kid was black street trash, and i recall that the cop was also a minority. If you take exception to my description of the smartass, please recognize that I have lived in very ethnically diverse areas and I have learned that trash comes in all colors,as do good citizens.
