Not a bug, a feature
An added bonus to gun ownership is that it may keep the Europeans out:
“Mr Le Mière said that the US had fallen down the scale, although it still scored an average of 93 out of 100, partly because of the proliferation of small arms owned by Americans and the threat to the population posed by the flow of drugs from across the Mexican border.”

Hey if Refuge liberals from Mass can do what they’re doing in New Hampshire, just imagine what an influx of socialist Euros would do to us as a nation!
A Good feeture indeed! Keep out Komrade!

The gun ownership would be one of the attractions for me migrating actually, though statements like those above would make me re-consider.

So they LIKE the flood of drugs and illegal aliens? 😉 I guess somebody has to mow the laws and fix the Ferraris of the EuroElites — and California Democrats.
I see the gun-ownership issue as a Social-Selector whereby we get the GOOD-minded Brits and Europeans, and not the Chavs or “Yout’s” or the inbred Eurotrash snots. 🙂

Ironically France was extremely glad to see armed Americans in ’17 and ’44, and they were welcome in France. Now they don’t want us armed in our own country?
Perhaps the fault is in the character of LeMere and his group. Next time they would be happy to see us, let’s just not go.

Statistically speaking, wouldn’t Europe have a higher ratio of illegal to legal gun owners? That sounds dangerous to me.

My Belgium has it’s occasional appearence of an old soviet AK-47 in the news, one was used to kill a policewoman not too long ago.
Those aren’t the problem, it’s the pigstuck victims of knife crime that get wheeled into the emergency room very night that are a problem.
