I concur:
ATF has no business attending gun control news conferences
Should a federal agency advocate a position on gun control? I think not. In fact, I think I’ll call my congress monkey and tell him that.

The ATF is trying to justify their existence. The moonshiners all joined NASCAR. Big tobacco got sued in to submission. All they have left is guns and apparently there isn’t enough illegal gun running to keep them busy so they’ve had to become petty bureaucrats worrying about the ‘i’s and ‘t’s. When is that last time we saw a report of the ATF raiding for something other than a paperwork or change of interpretation issues?
I remember when a report of the ATF being called in meant that the experts in guns and explosives were showing up. Now it is more like they’ll search out all the dangling prepositions.
