Get me a Democrat that appeals to dumb, bitter, cousin-humping gun owners!
Only to cousin-humpers in Tennessee. I don’t think his appeal would translate outside the state, as he is still a Yankee. Not to mention, calling for Bredesen to be the VP nominee is essentially calling for Ron Ramsey to be Governor; no thanks.

Bredesen ain’t exactly a staunch pro-gunner, but he did either sign or allow pro-gun bills to go into effect—that somehow ran the gauntlet of Speaker Naifeh’s anti-gun House committees.
Somehow I don’t think Bredesen as VP could tell a Prez Clinton or Obama, “we allow these guns for the good people of TN” and have them say, “Oh, OK…we’ll leave them alone”
