Soon, the long tradition of passing the beer may come to an end. Seems the senate wants to make it illegal for automobile passengers to drink while being driven around. Notable in the bill is that there is an exception for rich people driving around in their limousines.

I came from Georgia, originally, and they’ve had this law for as long as I’ve been driving, at least. I just kind of assumed that Tennessee already had this law.

In NH I’m pretty sure that the law is that an open container can’t be within reach of the driver. This means that for most passenger cars, the back seat is out. Maybe those 15-passenger vans are still ok though?
