Poor Bloomberg
His Mayors Against Guns campaign isn’t going so swimmingly, despite his ads. NYC’s lawsuit against gun makers was smacked down yesterday and Bloomberg learned that, despite what he may think, the laws of the US do apply in NYC.
Buck up, Bloomy. This is the easy part. The hard part is going to come after Heller and citizens of NYC decide they want to challenge the onerous gun laws there.

And that’s not the only good news. You can carry in National Parks now.

The worst part for the Bloomer will be when NYC residents can start carrying and crime goes way down. He’ll hate that more than anything. That is, until he’s indicted for conspiring, under the color of law, to deny citizens their Constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Either that or he’ll try to take the credit for reducing crime in the rotten apple.

Is this the same lawsuit Bloomberg brought against the out-of-state dealers? Is it too late for those dealers who have knucked under the pressure and settled with Bloomberg to withdraw their settlement offer?

He may say something like “Well. there was a dissenting opinion, so I will continue.”
But the dissent was that the suit could have been sent back to the lower court, since it may have violated New York law.

Er, the suit may not have been valid under law, not that the lower court was doing something illegal.
