We are all Hussein now
In the latest move elevating Barack Shamalamadingding Obama to minor deity status, his supporters are taking his middle name. I shit you not:
With her decision, she joined a growing band of supporters of Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who are expressing solidarity with him by informally adopting his middle name.
Really? And I show how dumb the middle name thing is by making fun of it.

Does this mean I have to stop telling people “I am SPARTACUS!” or do I just have to append the “Hussein” onto that?

Registration-free at Houston Chronical (because I hate the NYT)
Mikee, you have to use Hussein as a middle name. Not sure how you work that when using only a single moniker.
And now I have that Triumvirat tune running through my head.

“We are called Legion, for we are many.”
On that note, it just goes to show how much of a whackjob your average (or at least apparently average) Obamaramadingdong supporter is… and why would I vote for someone who has such a following of unmitigated whackjobs?

So now youngsters are choosing Hussein as their middle name. What a bunch of young fools. I guess next they’ll tattoo and pierce it on themselves. I guess they were in elementary school when Sadam Hussein butchered and tortured thousands of people. So, this is the youth who will be deciding our ‘change’ … great judgement! These kids have no sense of history, or hard won traditions. They are ready to change anything and everything at a drop of a hat … while they obliviously enjoy the fruits of other people’s labors and sacrifices. What’s next? … changing their middle names to Hitler, or Stalin?

Gina touched on it.
Pink hair and nose/eyebrow rings are so 90’s. Lower back tattoos (we call them VFR landing markers) are passe`. Changing your name on gorram everything you touch- that’s sticking it to the MAN~.
I don’t need a political figurehead weathervane to see which way the wind’s blowing, to corrupt an old song…that I’m old enough to remember, BTW.
When I hear ‘Hussein’ my first thought is “South Park- Bigger, Longer, Uncut- The Movie”. Is it any wonder I find them ridiculous?
Regards,
Rabbit.

That does it! I’m going out and buying an AR-Hussein-15!
🙂

Too bad none of them are adopting the joke middle names you’ve been using instead of Hussein.

Ummm…. I hate to point this out to Obama supporters, but isn’t that a Muslim tradition?

Okay. Call me “Count Barackula” to recognize the fact that the Obama wants to suck the lifeblood of freedom out of America and turn us into a miserable Marxist fiefdom.

For the record, I don’t think that anyone has any issue with calling the Democratic nominee Barack Hussein Obama per se. Having said that, a number of people opposing his candidacy have said his middle name in a manner that suggests that their intention was to perpetuate the myth that Obama is a Muslim.
Ummm…. I hate to point this out to Obama supporters, but isn’t that a Muslim tradition?
is what a Muslim tradition? Some Hindu’s will use their father’s name as their middle name. Obama is actually Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. as he has the exact same name as his dad.

Manish,
It’s one thing to continue to use a family name. But I have noticed a distinct pattern in the type of people who change their name to Hussein and Osama in the past couple of years.
I won’t say exactly what it is, but there seems to be something all those people have in common….
