FEMA buys 478 pallets of baby food. Leaves them in a warehouse until they rot. Now, they’re taking bids to destroy them. Taxpayers paid to buy it, store it and now dispose it.
478 pallets could probably have been put to good use somewhere, other than a warehouse.

That’s about par for the Feddle course…don’t you remember the DEA seizing multi million dollar yachts on drug beefs and tying them up in Miami, thereby doing nothing with them, until they sank at their moorings from lack of the most basic attention, i.e. charge the batteries so the bilge pumps can run?
“It ain’t my job” is heard frequently amongst Feddle property managers.

Gotta spend the money before the end of the fiscal year or they lose it next year.
