how “unbreakable” is the attachment of the canvas to the spokes?
because that’s what mostly breaks on my umbrellas, and i could see myself paying extra for one that’d last longer. self-defense with one? naw, but i do like to stay dry.
I remember walking around the gun shop one rainy day last year when I was in possession of a simple, straight black umbrella…. thinking how great it would be to make these with a strong carbon fiber shaft and a steel handle and spike.
Someone must have surveillance on me, snagging my ideas 😀
(I really don’t care, 99% of the time I’ll just blab in the hopes that whatever it was does show up on the market. )

I noticed that the demonstration video didn’t demonstrate the effectiveness of the pointy end.
One would think that 3″ or so of umbrella point would be quite effective.
