Congress and DC’s gun laws

NRA has a presser.

Thirdpower notes what the bill does. One bit is to repeal the District’s ban on semi-automatic handguns. Which is good. Currently, my Kel-Tec is considered a machine gun in DC.

To the folks belly-aching about the Democrat involvement, tough. They control the house and bills don’t get voted on unless they say so.

Your Kel-Tec is a machine gun? I can top that-so is my S&W Escort.

Kudos to the NRA for printing the bill number. That’s a major peeve of mine.

Now if thomas.loc.gov could only channel teh awe-some powerz of the tubz of net and actually post the text of the bill as it’s submitted. You would think by the delay that they are still using quill pens to write bills out on hemp paper in congress today and they need to send it out to get transcribed before us peons can get a look at it.

I thought the bill was H.R. 1399 but I’m glad I’ve been corrected.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
