That’s a good piece. She could go on to say that the “feminist movement”, as it has been organized, is completely at odds with itself when it comes to this issue.
For most of my life they’ve been saying “we don’t need men, we can do anything men can do, we must be independent, learn a trade, we are strong” and so on. All that is well and good, but when it comes to self defense, they get all June Cleaver on us.
‘Course, it’s like many of the other movements. They start on solid ground with solid principles, and for good reasons, after which they are hijacked by socialist, Western-society-hating moonbats. In the case of the organized feminist movement, it was pretty early on that they became dominated by man-hating lesbians. I went to college with some of them. They hated men (to be a “sister” you had to hate men) but wanted to be men, but had to be anti-gun and anti-capitalist. Go figure. Basically, looking back, they just hated everything.
