Looks like if he’d had a few more mag loaders, he could have gotten under ten minutes.

This should put to rest the PSH in the media claiming that semi-auto rifles can “spray” 700, 800, 900 rounds in a minute…even with 30 round mags versus the 7 to 10 round mags he was using.
He even “bump fired” some of the rounds to simulate full auto.

Well, the PSers may be correct in stating the rate of fire as being 600 RPM or whatever for certain full autos, they just don’t give you that little qualifier. Cyclic rate does not equal total rounds per minute unless you have a really long belt for your belt-fed. As if it mattered– as if your rights are, or should be, inversely proportional to the firing rate of your gun. They’ll do whatever it takes to scare the uninformed.
But we accepted their premise a long time ago, with the NFA, so can we really speak without hypocracy? Who’s being the more consistent? You or the antis? If it’s acceptable to ban or heavily restrict a machinegun because of its rate of fire, is it entirely out of line to question other fast-firing guns? You’ve accepted the premise, so now there’s nothing to discuss but the degree and specifics of its application.
