Quote of the day
Aunt B.:
I’m going to close just on a note to Conservative Christian folks. A day is coming, and it is coming soon, when you will have to face that continuing to align yourselves with the Republicans will mean the ruination of evangelical Christianity. You cannot tie religion and politics so closely without religion being corrupted.
Well, thus far, it seems to be the other way around.

I am not evangelical. And when did it become biblically correct to put public schools ahead of your own children in terms of allocating your own money?

Yeah, let’s see… align ourselves with a bunch of idiots, or align ourselves with a bunch of evil bastards. I’ll take the idiots.

WWJD?

Aunt B shakes her witch’s broom at conservative Christians and admonishes them to go run and hide in the closet for the election or the bogeyman that is politics will get them for sure!

I see her point, at first religion dictates social policy to politics, then politics dictates authority to religion.

She’s right.
Conservative Christians should desert the Republican party, and be Democrats. They’ll fit in there.

No thanks, the Democrats have decided they already have a god and He’s running for President.
As for me, I’ll continue voting in elections based on my political views and not my religious ones.
