I would assume that is a design issue. Not sure what kind of reciever you would need to not allow the flex. Seems counter intuitive for accuracy. At some point the metal would fatigue and the scope would head out.
I don’t think I would like to be shooting that thing.
Looks like there’s a market for improved optics for the .50 cal series of rifles. Something a bit beefier than the stuff he’s stress testing on it now.

sacred feces, the front lip of the scope nearly hit the top of the receiver. that is a .50BMG, right?

If you saw the same video for any rifle, you’d see that amount of flex, scaled for the recoil.
