Where’s the truth squad when you need it?
Looks like a lot of political capital is being spent trying to pull the wool over the eyes of gun owners about Barack Obama and guns:
Jim Webb, who I actually like, says you can trust Obama on guns. That is patently false.
Instead of making sure Democrats nominate pro-gun guys, the AFL-CIO opts to lie and tell everyone that Obama will protect gun rights. With bonus unicorns.

Markie Marxist sez: “If we don’t have the truth on our side, we just substitute a slick PR campaign. Think our friends in the MSM will call us on it? Imagine Katie Couric looking a deer in the headlights when confronted with Obama’s record on guns versus his current rhetoric. It works for us! Ha! Ha!”

Why is anyone surprised by this? Jim Webb is, and has always been, a two-faced tool whose only goal is to further his own ambitions. He’s endorsing Obama because he knows he can get more power that way.
He’s still running on the street cred he earned in Viet Nam. But being a good platoon commander 40 years ago doesn’t mean you’re not an asshole today.

I would say Jim Webb is a hack, but as his last campaign proved, if you say anything bad against him, then you must hate vietnam war veterans.
I think he should at least a few grades on the NRA scoresheet. Lying should count.
