What media bias?

Virginia Newspaper rejects NRA Obama ad. As to why:

The risk for a newspaper that runs the plastic bag ad, according to media ethicist Kelly McBride, is that it may give readers a reason to question its objectivity.

And not running shows all kinds of objectivity!

  1. Joe Huffman Says:

Aldous Huxley had something to say about that sort of behavior.

  2. Sean Braisted Says:

Perhaps, but considering the Richmond-Times Dispatch (the paper who won’t run the ad) endorsed McCain its hard to argue bias in favor of Obama.

  3. SayUncle Says:

    It is bias against NRA.

  4. Sean Braisted Says:

It is bias against a certain type of advertisement. If they want to put a full page pic inside the fold, I’m sure they’d be willing to sell them the space.

  5. Xrlq Says:

Sean is right, at least as to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Unlike practically every other major newspaper in the country, the Times-Dispatch is solidly pro-gun. They have no more reason to be biased against the NRA than they have to be biased in favor of Obama.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
