Speaking of Crimson Trace
I sent an email to Patrick at Crimson Trace and told him about the Wolf Ammo issue. I also inquired about getting some of those swabs they send for cleaning. His reply was:
I generally use regular Q-tip-brand Q-tips (some off brands don’t have as much cotton on the end), but it tends to take about 10-20 of them to get an oily lense good and clean, and maybe 7-10 to clean a dirty lens. Just make sure you’re pushing them in there with a little extra force. It would be very hard to damage the diode by jamming a Q-tip in with your hands.
Thought I’d pass it along. Also, he said he’d send me some more of the swabs. Cool. That’s service.

The same, however, cannot be said for your eardrums 🙂
