Wow, that is some bullshit. I admit to some ignorance about TN election laws, but even party primaries are governed by ordinary election laws, no? Or is it just a nominally democratic process that is really governed by the say-so of the party? I know in Florida that there are all sorts of rules for primaries, especially ones where the main election will be uncontested after the primary ends.
