Obama Job Apps
A few pixels spent on the lengthy job application in Obama’s administration. NRA points out that the application also asks about firearm ownership:
One of their first official acts is to make a list of gun owners among their own employees.
Update: Sebastian points out they don’t seem to have a grasp on gun laws.

I saw that, but read the form as only being for high-level appointees. The gun question came across as a way to screen out the Carl Rowans in the pool (i.e., calls for gun bans but illegally keeps HIS gun, then improperly uses it against dumb neighborhood kids skinny-dipping in his pool)

I got the same impression as K-romulus, that the question was more about making sure they aren’t going to have someone that the NRA can jump on and use against them.

Some of those questions go further into background than anything I’ve filled out in recent memory, and I have a Q clearance.
On the other hand, our Dear Leader couldn’t pass a simple clearance check to work as a handyman at Lockheed. He’ll end up knowing more about any one of his people than We The People know about him.

I don’t know Rabbit, when I was Q cleared they went all the way back to my infancy and interviewed every still living person I had ever known.
When I listed my father as deceased, they came back with a rejection on the first application because i didn’t give his mailing address. No shit!

Yes. But the RIGHT KIND of people can lie their way through this application and be fine, because their hearts are in the right place.
Wonder if Obama could pass his own vetting?

Why don’t they just make everybody pass an instant check?
Maybe they really believe in the whole epidemiology of guns thing – might as well believe in the healing power of crystals. If they’re lasers and nightvision, I do!

They want to know if you own firearms. Did I miss a reference to illegal drug possession or use? Maybe that’s not important…
