Civil Disobedience
Petey Hamm of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership is all for it:
If you have an illegal gun in a community that bans them and use it in self defense and all you have to do is to pay a fine — I would pay the fine and believe what I did was correct
As Kurt said:
So breaking the kind of gun law that your organization has fought so hard to preserve is “correct”?

It doesn’t sound like he’s advocating civil disobedience. Any good gun-grabber would say that if you live in a community that bans guns, you shouldn’t have one in the first place. But if you do have one, and a situation arises where you either risk a fine or much worse, then you might as well use it and get caught having it, rather than not use it, and still break the law by having it.

If it was Hamm and I was on that jury, he would go to jail for life for depriving some hard-working criminal his just rewards.
