Obama and guns
You remember all that time before the election when the press was trying to convince us bitter clingers that Obama didn’t want to take our guns? And how the DLC set up that fake pro-gun group to further alleviate our fears?
Well, unsurprisingly, they didn’t mean it. Here they are now:
The Paper of Making Up The Record giddy at the prospect of new gun laws.
At the WaPo: It would be nice if President-elect Obama had the time to focus his energies on repeal of the Second Amendment
And the trend seems to be to spin it as the NRA not mattering much. Yeah, right. Then why so much time spent by the DLC, the Press, The AFL CIO, etc. trying to pull the wool over peoples’ eyes about how Obama isn’t pro gun?

I double dare him to try and repeal the second amendment. These people keep hoping they get what they’re wishing for, but i don’t think they really understand the consequences.

The Feinstein article in WaPo, and the incident in which the NFL football player tried his luck at the 2008 Darwin Awards with combining a drinking game with a shooting game, is worth a separate thread, Unc.
Feinstein is more unhinged than Burress. He needs to change his meds.
And Burress’ gun was “illegal” only because the NY legislature and NYC City Council outlawed gun ownership in NYC. There is nothing inherently illegal about Burress’ Glock.
I don’t think that pro sports players should be drug-tested and I certainly don’t think that they should surrender their Second Amendment rights to play sports.
These guys are athletes/entertainers. They are not West Point cadets or role models. I don’t care what they ingest or how they spend their time.
I would rather see journalists drug-tested (or, in Feinstein’s case, gender-tested) than athletes. For that matter, I would also like to see Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper gender-tested, but that is a little off point for this thread.
If athletes can’t perform on the field because they have been out too late or drank or used to much the night before, the fans will vote with their feet.
The free market tends to correct this type of thing.
And if you let you children perceive these people as role models or get their values from athletes, entertainers or the mall, you are not much of a parent.
All these journalists who are pro-choice when it comes to aborting babies aren’t very pro-choice on many other matters.

Is this Feinstein kin to Dianne?

Shouldn’t that read….trying to pull the wool over peoples’ eyes about how Obama is pro gun? Or isn’t pro gun law
