Lack of support
Seems to be a trend for the anti-gunners. Someone staged a gun buyback. But had it turned into a giveback because organizers were hoping to collect $5,000 to $10,000 in donations, but the money never materialized.

Looks like someone forgot to ask the Joyce Foundation for money.

Welcome to Colorado, where we have just enough California imports to be miserable, and ashamed of them , but not yet enough of them to open season ( yet ) .

So this started as a typical “no questions asked” gun buy, and 15 guns were paid for. No record of who turned them in, or how to contact them if the gun needs returned. There were other guns which were NOT turned in, because there was no more money. So zero guns will be “given back” from this event.
False advertising on the front end, false advertising on the back end, false advertising in the middle.
Some stories write themselves. This one needed an authentic journalist to twist the facts into the pretzel presented to us here.

Wait, on reading closer, the 15 guns turned in were not redeemed for anything. And they will be destroyed by the police. Even the one found in the gutter. I wonder if that one was used in a crime, which will now never be solved?
And how can one “give back” a gun which the recipient has never owned? How about a “gun drop” or a “firearm disposal” as more truthful?
