Good advice
PDB: Do not attempt to catch a dropped gun. Let it fall!
I don’t know that it’s worth adding a fifth rule to the four rules since rule three (keep your boogr-hook off the bang-switch) seems to address that.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I caught a knife I dropped a few years back.
It was a mistake I will make once.
I about cut my finger to the bone.

We had a Navy Reservist die because he reflexively tried to catch a falling Beretta. He was in the process of switching from strong hand to weak, dropped the gun, caught it facing his chest, and inadvertently fired the weapon. Even with a Corpsman, and EMT, and a Nurse on site, they could not save him.
Do NOT catch a falling gun.
I support adding it to the 4 rules.

Stick your foot out.
I worked in an industry where catching things was very bad for the hands, but if you dropped something, it would break when it hit the floor. We became _very_ good at catching things on the top of the foot. Sometimes the object would still hit the ground, but at least without enough force to break.
As for a dropped weapon, it is highly unlikely that an item on the top of your shoe / boot would fire the weapon.
