Oldies but goodies
Antiques and blackpowder guns are not classified as firearms, under federal law. That’s why you can order them by mail, get them without a background check, or saw off a front stuffer shotgun to your heart’s content. It’s also, apparently, a way for those in NYC to defend themselves.

pretty sure that NY changed that law and that BP items are now just as regulated as other firearms.

Neither. In NYS it’s an illegal, sawed-off shotgun, even if it’s a muzzleloader. I would surely have one otherwise. Unlicensed possession of a muzzle loading pistol or revolver is only legal if you don’t have ammunition for it. An 1860 Colt revolver might make a fairly good club, but a baseball bat or golf club would be more a more effective weapon than an empty handgun. New York State does a great job of protecting its precious Marxist/warrior/hero/criminals, and does so with a contempt for freedom that has to be experienced to be believed.

Dont think that pointing a golf club at an intruder would cause much of a second thought.
And i doubt most intruders would see the empty cylinder… hopefully.
