I hope all ends up being okay for you guys. The area near my hometown got hit hard last night. Hopefully it has fizzled out at least a little bit.

Wow, the winds were real heavy. And yeah, my grill got knocked down also.

Oy, good luck out there!
I’d tell you to get into the basement, but most TN home builders seem to think that basements are for pussies, or something.

Tornado fiesta here in Oklahoma yesterday. Duck and cover. Is it February or May?

The warning also extended out my way, although warnings are significantly less serious than watches (having experienced far more than my fair share of those in southern MD).
Of course, being in apartment like I am, shelter options are… limited. Seems to have mostly blown past now, though.

I found your grill cover. It showed up in the windshield of my Ford Ranger in Southern Ohio.

Linoge, it’s the other way:
A warning should not be confused with a tornado watch which only indicates that conditions are favorable for the formation of tornadoes.
As someone who grew up in Tornado Alley and is deathly afraid of severe storms, I am all too careful about this stuff.

Yeah, the top of my kettle grill, as well as a wood & fiberglass park bench wound up in the pool today. =(
Tom, the reason we don’t have basements here is the water table is too high.

Whoops. Right you are, Bitter. I do wish they would use slightly different terminology for that (for just this reason).
