Park Carry
Judging from the concerted efforts of anti-gun groups in a span of a couple of days to flood the zone with their talking points, looks like their push will be changing the park carry rule. Going to be their first volley in Obama era gun control efforts.

If I don’t know the current regulations have been reversed, can I still follow the current regulations? Otherwise, my time will be spent trying to figure out what is legal and what is illegal as I drive around the country, passing into and out of legal zones and illegal zones for gun possession. Maybe we should make a more uniform standard, like having the state rules and laws controlling for all land within a state, to make it easier to avoid inadvertent felonies. Oh, wait… that is what the recently fixed regulations do now.
Sorry, I thought the purpose of any current angst mongering should be to promote either legal behavior or public&private safety. Guess I was wrong.
What other possible reason could anyone have for making it more confusing about what the laws and regulations are for exercising a Constitutionally protected right? Would not the confusion generally lead to diminution of that right? Huh, maybe that is what the anti-self-defense folks have as an unstated goal. It certainly makes more sense than the crap they have been spouting.

I understand there’s a provision in the new Scamulous bill which creates a ‘park’ encompassing a highway between New Hampshire and Virginia. The understanding given in the discussion was that this effectively will create a ‘gun-free zone’ along the length of the highway.
This I heard on Mark Levin’s radio show during the last few minutes of the program, when Ann Coulter called in. Ann mentioned this little tidbit.

Gee, too bad we don’t have, oh, say 7 years of data under pro-RKBA Bush 2 to show that Park carry saves lives. Oh well, this time around the GOP will be campaigning as the party of freedom, the party that respects the RKBA, the party of fiscal responsibility and the party of “Oh, we really mean it this time!”.
Rabbit: There’s already a park running from Maine to Georgia called the Appalachian Trail. Likewise, there’s the Pacific Crest trail too. Also the American Discovery Trail runs from Delaware to California. We’re crisscrossed with “greenways”.
