More on the Commercial Appeal
With bonus hypocrisy.
You’ll recall that a crappy paper in Memphis decided to publish a database of those who have licenses to carry handguns. And lumped us in there with criminals.
Turns out, they don’t like turnabout. When someone went to the article and linked to a list of names and addresses of editorial staff, the Commercial Appeal deleted the comments. Nice.
Chris Cox wrote them a letter:
Your decision to publicize the personal information of Right-to-Carry permit holders in Tennessee is unjustifiable, disgraceful, and dangerous.

Maybe these posters can publish the names, home addresses and phone nos. of the Commercial Appeal editors and writers in the Mempis Flyer.

I believe that this has already been done.

The CA doesn’t like it but they don’t care. I just dropped my state representative, senator and the two sponsors of SB0172 (Ketron, R-13) and HB0221 (Bass, D-65) an email asking my legislator to support the bills which would help protect the privacy of hangun permit holders. If you can write the CA and complain, how about writing your state legislators and get the law changed. If we don’t do this, the CA will continue to act with impunity. Of course only the “guvenmint” can slap you with a $10,000 fine and ten years in jail, so we have to settle for a Misdemeaor fine only.

Maybe the NRA can publish the editors names, home addresses, photos, and names and ages of their children in all of their member magazines.

Thanks for the link, Unc.
And if the NRA wants to do that, their names and addresses are already consolidated in a variety of sources (my webpage, Rustmeister’s, etc.). The rest, they might have to dig up on their own…

This is what liberals refer to a “reasoned discourse.” If you don’t agree with them, they silence you. Wait until the Fairness Doctrine becomes law.

Does this mean that everyone NOT ON THE LIST is living in a gun-free zone? And, does that make them an easy target??
