Interesting list of regulations for TN. For instance:
39-17-1311. Carrying weapons on public parks, playgrounds, civic centers and other public recreational buildings and grounds.
This regulation is not included. But then I contend that it does not apply to HCP holders as a handgun is not a prohibited weapon under 39-17-11302. The AG has opined otherwise.
39-17-1359. Prohibition at certain meetings — Posting notice.
Not included in ATF list
I don’t understand what was put on the list and what was left out?
Please note that there is likely a footnote or link on the website clarifying that the site is for information only and is not a definitive list of state laws. Use at your own risk, in other words. I’d find the actual, current law on a state website before trusing this ATF website to provide comprehensive up-to-date state laws; not for any nefarious reason, only because state laws change frequently and this website is updated on whatever basis the ATF decides.
The Currency of Laws Table and Relevancy sections of the ATF database are the sections which make this info useful but not definitive. None of it is later than early 2008. I know Texas laws,at least, have changed since then.
Still a useful tool, if only to tell you where in the code to look. Sure, a state could enact a new gun law nowhere near the area of the state code where the existing laws were, but that happens very rarely if ever.
Anyone else notice this bit from the Tennessee section:
(8) “Machine gun” means any firearm that is
capable of shooting more than two (2) shots
automatically, without manual reloading, by a
single function of the trigger;
So, it’s ok to get a two shot burst with one trigger pull?

That should be 39-17-1302, not 39-17-11302
