At the doc
Annual physical. Doc’s office littered with various gun magazines. I love this town.

It’s the same way here in Evanston Wyoming. in the waiting room at the dentist’s office there were magazines like Guns and Ammo, Field and Stream, etc. in the magazine rack. None of that crap like People, US News and World Report, or Newsweek cluttering up the place.

Hey, it was just like that at the doctor’s office I was at today! I even saw a copy of Newsweek with The Chosen One on the cover in the trash.
(Oh wait… I’m the doctor. And it’s my office…)

My doctor in Oak Ridge, TN saved me a bundle on magazine subscriptions. The downside, I was in his waiting room far more that I wished, but the upside is that I got to keep up with ‘Guns & Ammo’ and ‘Shooting Times’ without having to subscribe!
To show my appreciation I drop off my copies of ‘American Rifleman’ and ‘Combat Handguns’ there when I’m done with them. It’s the least I can do to keep others from having to read ‘People’ and the like.

Here too, although I should note that I’m not talking about a doctor’s office, but a state-wide clinic, where Guns and Ammo and similar publications share the space with Women’s Day and Cosmo.

Umm, my local dentists office is graced by the AARP, AAA and Soviet Life magazines, he throws in Nat Geo as a sop I guess. And yes, someone, somewhere is still publishing “Soviet Life” or whatever it calls itself now.
