Spring, it has sprung
Last night, I get home and the house is a nice warm 78 degrees. Time to turn on the AC.
And, this week, I cracked the first beer. I don’t drink beer all winter long because they just don’t sound good. But when the weather is warm, beer is good.

Thanks. You have given me another reason to love Texas. Beer is good every day of the year except two maybe three. On those days, I prefer warm sake.

There’s nothing better than a cold beer when you haven’t had one in a while. Always makes me wonder why I don’t drink them more often. Then I do and I realize daily beer is not nearly as tasty as occasional beer.
Now, daily bourbon on the other hand, that’s some deliciousness.

Blasphemy! Beer is good year-round at all hours of the day! (with exceptions, Miler/Bud/Coors/Etc are never good regardless of season/hour of day)

Agreed. You just shift the color of your beer as the temperature changes. The colder the weather, the more opaque the beer.

Right; you need heavy, heavily hopped winter ales on those cold nights. Not too sweet and not too cold.
But we all know Uncle’s favorite beverage of them all is a really, really fine tequila.

Laughingdog; you know that’s the name of a brewery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, right? Or is that you? I like the Cold Nose.

darker as the sun shines less and lighter and the sun shines more is my rule

It got to the mid-70’s here in Memphis over the last couple of days, but that meant opening up the house, not turning on the A/C.
And I almost never drink beer (or alcohol at all, really) at home. I generally only drink when I go out.

Amen – I’ve only got about a case of Oatmeal stout left, and I need to start brewing the summer pales and hefes…
Been a damn cold winter here in the NW..

Another vote for you just not having the right beers in front of you if you’re not enjoying them in winter :).

It went above freezing here in the Great White North. Our dear leaders saw their shadows, proposed raising taxes, and we’re back to six more weeks of winter…
