If the school actually taught him that the handgun he carries has to be concealed, they are doing it wrong. Whether it “makes the police very nervous” or not, Tennessee recognizes open carry, so long as you have an HCP.
Apart from that, and the erroneous use of “magazine” and “clip” for the same device, I can find no other significant flaws in his article… Now, the bit about the liberals that the instructor said? Yeah, that was probably a bit much. But considering how the media here in Tennessee seems to be interested in lambasting handgun carry permit holders at every available opportunity, this article seems to have come off relatively well.
