It actually cleared over 60k rounds before the lawyers made them stop the test. At the end, it developed a slight crack in the slide, but was still safe to shoot according to S&W’s engineers, but the lawyers made them stop.
I haven’t put 50,000 rounds through my M&P 45 yet, but I’ve also not had a single weapon related problem either (I had one bad ejection, but that was a deformed cartridge)
They didn’t shoot it out of a cannon, and they didn’t shoot it with a .22lr. 🙂
What parts broke, and what type of stoppages occurred due to lack of maintenance?
I’m actually curious here. How many magazine springs did he change if any? How many recoil springs did he change if any?
I sorta like the M&P and I sorta don’t. It seems worlds better than the XD.
Hell, I’d probably own one if their full size .45 ACP held more than 10 rounds. That’s what my carry Glock 30 holds in a compact package, a full size double column .45 should hold 12 or 13 dangit. And not have a safety.
