Quote of the day
Speaking of the media bias against guns:
For years I would tell news people about the fact that every single multiple victim public shooting in the US involving more than three people killed took place in one of these gun-free zones. The response was they might include this information as part of the story if I could get it to them fast enough so that it could be included as part of the news story. But when I started to do that I was told that it would be editorializing to include that information. My response has been that if news stories can contain long (often inaccurate) discussions of the type of gun used in the crime, why isn’t it also newsworthy to note one common characteristic that occurs in attack after attack?
often inaccurate may be the understatement of the year.

‘Editorializing’ is a phrase which is only used when the topic of discussion does not meet the rigerous criteria of journalistic integrity, or in the words of Rush Limbaugh: “It’s something that doesn’t fit the template.”

Also have you noticed that every story goes to great lenths to discuss the make and model of a gun used if it could be branded an “Assault Weapon” Like the “AK-47” (actually SKS) used in Oakland, or the Bushmaster used in Alabama. But meanwhile the other stories where guns not targeted by the AWB makes of guns were simply not mentioned. Like the NC nursing home shooting, or the NY shooting.
It’s pretty obvious they have an agenda to push.

Damn, has there been an accurate MSM story about guns, EVER ??? I can’t seem to recall even one.

Oh yeah, and one other thing I just don’t get:
WHY do I CONSISTENTLY see VPC/Brady morons touted as “experts” on guns, when their “expertise” is pretty much summed up by the phrase, “guns kill people, and therefore we want them all banned” (Which is an incorrect statement in itself)?
Why are the people who actually DO know how a gun works, who KNOW the history and significance of firearms, who endure the bother and expense of collecting and shooting, demonized as ‘The (Evil) Gun Lobby’? And on a tangent note, why do they suppose the nutjobs who perpetrate these mass killings are almost never a member of the NRA, and are never EVER supported by it?
Hey “mainstream media”: You’re Doing It Wrong.
