Backing down
Insty reports that Napolitano is apologizing for that whole veterans are right wing extremist terrorists thing.
“It’s ironic,” Gottlieb concluded, “that President Obama’s friend, William Ayers, is a leftwing terrorist bomber, but nothing in this report suggests monitoring his activities.”

Because, y’know, that’s like NEVER happened in history or anything…that whole thing with the Freikorps and Karl & Rosa over in Berlin…fuggetaboutit.
Or the American Legion busting IWW heads in Centralia, Wahsington, circa 1919…and the Wobblies fighting back.

Since anyone at all can become a deadly extremist, there was no reason to single out veterans. It was a tone-deaf report by a bureaucrat with a tin ear at best, and a politically motivated attack on all veterans at worst. At best, Napolitano should resign for her incompetence, and maybe she should be sued for defamation as well. Why do we pay people big salaries to insult us by making horrible, unfounded accusations against us? DHS is drinking Obama’s Kommie-flavored Kool-Aid and that organization needs to be depoliticized pronto. The organization charged with protecting America should not become a political weapon to be used against Americans.

I’d say I’m still trying to figure out why we have more than one domestic law-enforcement agency at the federal level, but I’m afraid of the answer.
Ever ask yourself why the FBI, BATFU, HSC, TSC, and Federal-Fucking-Marshals are so jealously guarding their little information chestnuts from each other, instead of sharing information that might lead to cases solved, convictions, and fewer civilian casualties? Aren’t they all basically federal cops?
