It’s more likely now that the 9th Circus has recognized that the right the Second Amendment protects “is indeed fundamental, that it is necessary to the Anglo-American conception of ordered liberty that we have inherited.”
Tough fight, but at least the (honest) judges no longer have to point to Hickman v. Block and say “Sorry.”
Same thought here…it’s an uphill battle legislatively but Nordyke gives hope. MD’s basically the right coast’s California, and we fight the same fight here–and I’ve always said that it’s important that we have shall issue pushes in places like Cali and MD, because when Paul Helmke is busy defending what should ostensibly be his “home turf”, he’s not able to push as hard for bad gun laws elsewhere. They don’t have tons of money…so let’s make them waste it here.
Gotta start sometime– getting the ball rolling in the right direction.
There may be a backlash election coming soon, wherein CA voters throw out some of the Marxist/Progressive bums and elect a few principled Americans. ‘Course for that to happen, some principled Americans have to run for office (that’s the biggest hurdle right there. Arnold Schwartzyanker for example, posed as one, but turned out to be a fake, i.e. a typical Republican).
If that happens, there needs to be a well-developed pro shall issue movement in place to take advantage of it.

Especially in Cali, we should change the terms from “May issue/Shall issue” to “discriminatory issue/nondiscriminatory issue”
