I think a “Cache” is two, an “Arsenal” is 2-4, a “Stockpile” is 3-5, and an “Armory” is more than 4. The confusion stems from the fact that there is an overlap, for example, a “Stockpile” can also be an “Armory” OR an “Arsenal”. As for me, I’m going for the much heralded status of “Third World Military Power”, which is 20 or more and includes reloading equipment or at the very least “Warlord” status, which is more than 10.
When I came from law enforcement considered more than ten identical weapons an arsenal. Of course, there were tons of surplus stuff like Lowe Mausers in various calibers. I bought a pair from Montgomery Wards, and several from Sears. All in 7 X 57, but with various and sundry crests, etc.. So they did not qualify as an arsenal.
Many of us have collected fifty or more firearms, and never bothered to lay in a round of ammo for any of them. I would not consider those collections “arsenals” either. I suppose ten or more identical weapons with 40 or more rounds of ball ammo for each would qualify, though.
So Stranger, what category do you fall into when you *DO* lay in the rounds for all the various surplus arms you have? What if they’re not identical but you are stocking way more than 40 rounds per?
Is that when you start sending bulk packs of Depends or a gift card to the underwear section of the local Walmart to journalists when they get wind of it?
The running joke among my friends is I’m a “Breaking Story on the Six O’Clock News”. But I do like being near “Third World Military Power” status though. 🙂

“I thought it was 3.”
Jimmy Carter ruined this for them when he listed his cache? arsenal? Whatever.

Cache, Arsenal, Stockpile, Armory or Whatever is anything more than zero.
Do you really think they want you to have any?
