TeeVee Stuff
So, the only sitcom worth watching on TeeVee (My Name is Earl) is being cancelled. I gathered that show was still popular.
And ABC is remaking V.

Earl is an interesting show with thoughtful laughs about silly things. Sorry to see it go, especially compared with several other current shows that seem designed for people who can neither read nor concentrate for more than 20 seconds straight.
I remember V. It was a soap-opera about guerilla war against space alien invasion with more conspiracies than the X files. And it was all covered by a large serving of stink. It was depressing, meaningless, and stupidly plotted, even to an early-teen scifi nerd.
The remake cannot be as bad as the original. Although that does not mean it will be any good at all.

It’s probably for the best with Earl. The show started out laughing with rednecks, but lately, it’s been veering more and more into laughing at rednecks.
Jamie Pressly is a comedic genius, though.

My favorite Earl quote:
“Worms don’t fight. They’re peaceful loving people…they got five hearts.” – Crabman
As for “V”, I have to agree with Mikee. It had lots of potential, but never delivered.

And any three random people will be black, white and a woman (color optional).

Earl’s getting cancelled? That sucks bigtime.

Eh, it has Inara and Wash in it. I will give it at least a season… Giving Dollhouse a season seems to have gone well, though that is probalby more due to Whedon than Faith.
