Peaceable assembly, low-level terrorism? what’s the difference?
Antiterrorism training materials used by the Department of Defense teach that public protests should be regarded as “low-level terrorism,” according to a letter of complaint sent to the department by the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California.

I would be more inclined to include post athletic victory debauchery, looting, burning cars, etc. as low level terrorism than a group of peaceful protestors.
Welcome to the age of O.

Is any sort of grassroots attempt to influence politics now considered a form of terrorism?

“Is any sort of grassroots attempt to influence politics now considered a form of terrorism?”
Yes, if it goes against leftist dogma. I noticed long ago that if you state disagreement with a leftist in person, they invariably switch into victim mode; “Well, I have a RIGHT to my opinion” they often say instantly, implying that by disagreeing with them you are violating their rights or threatening them in some way. Ignore your argument and redirect. Now you’re either on the defensive or you shut up. Don’t fall for it.
Yes, they are that crazy. If you consider that you are dealing with devoted followers of Jim Jones, you’ll be closer to the mark. They didn’t run straight over to Guyana and start drinking the Kool-Aid right away either. It takes time, but we know the structure, we know the mechanism, we know the basic, founding tenets, and we know the outcome is going to be gruesome. It’s happened many times around the world. It’s axiomatic.
Once this “low level terrorism” meme sinks into the national psyche, what’s the next step? “Right Wing” bloggers will be deemed “terrorists” I suppose.
Uncle; you’re a target. ‘Course you knew that already, but here we see the process unfolding.
